At present, in view of the characteristics of fine-grained distribution of useful minerals in kyanite mineral resources discovered in China, flotation-based combined beneficiation process is mostly adopted. Gravity separation and magnetic separation are often used for preconcentration in order to provide high-grade ore feeding for flotation. They can also be used to remove iron and titanium-reducing sillimanite, andalusite and kyanite from flotation concentrate, which are polycrystalline aluminosilicates with the same Si/o ratio. Proper desliming before flotation of sodium silicate 131 is beneficial to the improvement of flotation concentrate grade and recovery rate, and reverse flotation can also be used to remove mica, pyrophyllite, alumino-calcium phosphate stone, dolomite and iron-bearing substances before flotation. The largest andalusite deposit in China, the Bayinguoling andalusite deposit in Xinjiang, has a prospective resource of 2.13 xlO8 t. A new technology of "aggregate" tailings throwing and direct crushing and classification of raw ore is put forward under the condition of relatively coarse granularity. The test confirms that (-5+0.5) mm grade adopts gravity separation-dry magnetic separation process, 0.5 mm grade adopts gravity separation-tailing-wet magnetic separation-gravity separation-dry high-intensity magnetic separation process, and medium ore adopts crushing-grade-dry magnetic separation process. Expanded beneficiation test has obtained excellent process indexes of andalusite concentrate rate 9.61%, A203 57.03%, andalusite mineral quantity 95.69%, recovery rate 69.73%. The process is simple and reliable. It solves the technical problem of separation and purification of coarse andalusite ore well. It is an innovative process. For the Neixiang Sillimanite Mine in Henan Province, which belongs to garnet biotite schist, the production process is determined as crushing, grinding, weak magnetic separation, strong magnetic separation and desliming flotation.
